On Saturday morning, Howard had planned on a visit to Army Museum Bandiana to see the vehicles on display, but this had to be cancelled due to time factors, so he decided to take the interstate visitors into Melbourne and to Willamstown where the HMAS Castlemaine, as restored WW2 Covette is moored. http://hmascastlemaine.org.au/index.php

We firstly drove around this historic maritime town and saw the historic timeball, and Fort Gellibrand, but as it's an operational Army Base, we couldn't enter and see the Victorian era guns and emplacements. After morning coffee we boarded the HMAS Castlemaine and enjoyed seeing the wonderfully restored vessel.

Dangerous taking Andy there, next thing he will be making 1/30th boats. Weather turned on to help make it an enjoyable time it seems. Nice shots John. Robin.

The skipper and Gilligan we can argue who is who lol.
Another great thread mate thanks.

Great stuff John and it looks like Andy was in his element, would have been dangerous if there was some 20mm and 40mm ammo lying around....^&grin
