On Sunday morning Howard and Jen loaded some of the interstate guests into the bus and headed for the City of Melbourne to drop off those who had planes to catch home, then the rest of us headed south for 2 hours, through the lush farming lands and then over to Phillip Island where the National Vietnam Veterans Museum is located.

It is a volunteer created and run museum that is home to a huge collection of artifacts, both large and small, interpreted with information, imagery and audio. At NVVM you will see the conscription ballot balls used in the system of National Service that divided our nation. You will walk beneath and around such key vehicles as helicopters, a tank, even a bomber used in Vietnam. https://www.vietnamvetsmuseum.org/

Thank you John for making it enjoyable for us less fortunate ones,oh well next......................that's right there isn't a next year

Great photos John. Thanks for sharing.

That 105 mm Pack Howitzer really looks great I'd love to add one of those to my collection. Hopefully Andy will add one to the range soon too.

The Huey looks great as Huey's always do.
What with the recent release of the Col Kilgore figure, looks like we 'll will get a few Apocalypse Now, Air Cav figures. They'd be Hot sellers for sure.
Hard not to start humming the "Ride of the Valkyries" {sm4}

Steve,

yes we did discuss that gun with Andy, but it would be a very fragile piece in miniature, so the problems in packaging as well as manufacture could be tragic. Pity because both the Kiwis and us used it, but watch out for the ANZAC crew coming soon as well as a US crew for the gun, which is almost completed.

I'd love one because I have served on those guns in the 1970's. We got them in our Battery after they came back Vietnam when they were replaced with the US M2A2 105 Howitzer which could sustain the rate of fire needed in that campaign. The L5s couldn't do that and tended to fall apart !!!

Hi Steve,
There is a L5 made by Britains back in the 80´s.....although it´s more of a toy it does carry a lot of detail and could pass as a field piece in a dio..especially with K&C sets were the chaps a bigger ...
The 105s made by Brtians, but now within the regular WW2 range is 1:32 so although with the right level of detail would not fit in with the K&C sets...it would look more like a mountain gun {sm4}{sm4}{sm4}
Cheers
