1) The PT109 (JFK's boat) was an ELCO 80-footer.

Plastic models of the ELCO 80 foot PTs have been done in 1/32nd (fair model) by Lindberg and in 1/35th by Italeri (excellent model)

2) The Higgins' PTs were mostly 77-footers, which would make a 1/30th model about 2.56 actual feet in length. That's a lot of pollystone!

I think an LCM is on the way. KC UK did one in balsa ( I got one) but the landing ramp is on a fixed down position. I remember seeing the 2 recently released LCVP with a KC prototype of the LCM on photos taken at the Wetcoaster early this year (remember the crane lifting a Jeep?).

I predict that Figarti will release the PT Boat. If Figarti could do the German E-boat and the Vietnam era River Patrol Boat what would stop Rick from producing the PT Boat? It will complement the PTO and the Wake Island series. Just my POV... I just hope it would be affordable

Nice Photo....Would love to see a PT model made...but I don't think I would be able to afford one...Or have the space for a 1:30 scale Model....Could maybe afford a plastic model in 1:48th scale...That might work for most of us
