Ok, here are 2 very interesting sets that go together. I cannot identify the maker, but it is not Edmunds (boxes look like his, but I asked and not his). They have a Marlborough flair to them, but no markings that would indicate that and the base it is thick. They are not homecast, the finish is way to smooth and gloss painting is accurate as can be, definitely were a produced set. Ok Sleuths, what say you?

Thanks!

Tom I think they are from Shamus Wade they look like a set of Hong Kong constabulary. I’ll look in my references and get back to you. Dave

Thanks Dave, I was thinking maybe Nostalgia but with no marking on the base it threw me for a loop. They do look like they would fit right in to the Scroby/Marlborough family for sure. and your description resonates. Not sure of time period, but I figure it to be early 1900s? (After Boxer?)

I would have guessed Sikh regiment from Nostalgia as well but it’s hard to make out the detail to well on the photo

Definitely Chinese. Let me know if you can confirm on them, but I think your first inclination seems reasonable.

I think they may have been called Wei Ha Wei but I’m still digging around in my source's material. I’ll keep you posted
