Absolutely beautiful! Cannot wait to get my hands on mine when it arrives!! {sm3}

Great photos Serge! A shame about the cost to ship into Canada. US Customs exempts Art, Antiques and Toys from import duty. I regularly purchase antiques in England and Japan and my shipping charges average about $50.00. The same with toys from Germany. Canada must have a heavy import duty on these items.

Oh.... all photos taken of the FL Tiger I are from an iPhone 6.

With the right setup, those iphone can take really great photos.
Just in case you were wondering... ^&grin

I take most of mine from an iPhone 6. The cameras on the phones are only getting better. The 7 also have the ability to make portrait shots where you can focus on the topic and slightly blur the background. I was planning to get one but I read that in the next few months Apple may come out with a new and reinvented phone so I may wait.

Anyway, fantastic photos from Serge, the best I've seen so far.

Yeah at least , this will be my best Tiger I tank.

But gee, i just hope that i will be at home before my wife when UPS comes and and have to pay the 147$ Customs fees canadian. Im sure im not alone in this situation, its gonna be difficult to justify UPS fees to my wife, Another stressfull night before the storm, lol.
Serge

There is no customs duty into Canada from the US. Of the $147 so called "Customs Fees", $71.29 is HST and the rest of about $75 is a brokerage fee charged by the courier company and is unnecessary as the item does not have to go through a customs broker. That is just a rip-off by the courier companies. If shipping is by USPS/Canada Post there is no broker's fee. There are better ways to buy from the US

Really great photography Frank. I would be interested in your comparison of the First Legion Tiger I and your excellent Honor Bound Gold Tiger I. The saturation of the colors is significantly different between the two examples; which do you prefer?

Some more pics

Got my Tiger in the mail today and had the chance to take it out for a brief inspection. FANTASTIC!!!!! The detail is amazing and I cannot wait to display it in my curio with all my Waffen-SS. For now though it must got back into its nice secure packaging as I will be moving soon. Bravo to First Legion for not making simply a tank, but a work of art! :D

Serge, always always order from the US using USPS.
USPS will handle your package to Canada Post and Canada Post will get your parcel through the customs and charge you only a fee of 9.99$ to do it. This fee is the same for a parcel costing 50$ or 2000$.

Alternatively, you can get your UPS or FedEx parcel through the customs yourself but you will have to drive to the nearest UPS or FedEx hub.

or if you have a big parcel costing for example 5000$, you can enlist a custom broker and they will do everything for you and will charge you way less than UPS or FedEx.

Thanks Frank for some great photos of the Tiger, I was looking forward to seeing how you would use it in a diorama setting, as always look great.

Here are comparison pictures. My preference is a less saturated look.

Great comparison photos Frank! The two Tigers look to be equivalent in size and quality. I also prefer more subdued camouflage colors. A Tiger new from the factory would be covered in dust by the time it reached the front; thus muting the colors. I think Figarti and Honor Bound had the colors about right IMO. A little powdered chalk will mute the colors realisticly on the First legion Tiger.

In my most humble opinion both Tigers look fantastic and both have their good points and restrictions, but to have either one would be a top shelf display.

Hi all

I thought you might like to see what I did with my Normandy Tiger. Here it is in a depiction of it somewhere in Northern France. The other vehicles are Figarti, Britains and TG. The figures are Britains, Kronprinz and Figarti. If you want to see more pic's then I have posted a bunch down in the diorama section.
