Last night while going thru the channels I stumbled upon Code Talkers. My gawd how could they ruin a great premise and make a very bad movie. I only seen the last half hour but Nicholas Cage killed more Japs than John Wayne did in all his WW2 movies combined! We could have avoided using the atomic bomb if we had just landed Cage on the shores of Japan.

LOL Gary, I couldn't agree more.:D:D

But what does it really matter when your really gonna watch it once, if you can make it through the whole thing.

At least you saw the ending. I turned it off after 20 minutes. Worst movie ever.

The movie was mediocre, at best. I did like some of the battle scene-special effects. The F6F Hellcats were ok. -- lancer

Sorry guys,i stumbled upon this thread thinking it was about Gallipoli or Braveheart!;):D

Sorry Bill,couldn't resist mate

Rob
Ah Rob, if only this movie were 1/100th as good as either.;):D

I may be in a minority but I quite liked it.
The way the Japanese fight in the film is really just like in Call of Duty World at War.
These guys spring from nowhere and charge with swords and bayonets- they don't care.

Plus i'm a bit of a John Woo fan from way back.
You have to watch his films knowing they will have over the top fighting and gun play with added style and coolness.

I guess I don't think the added fighting and gunplay is cool, just doesn't do it for me. I would agree it was much more like a video game than a movie.

Actuall I think Call of Duty World at War is much better than the movie.
And I love the online play.

sometimes the cinemas really seems to take the piss.
to me, they seem to say, we should had only dropped a special squadron of nicolas cage, van diesel, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Snoop dogg, samuel l jackson, uma thurman and mcquyver, and they'll get to liberate france and conquer berlin in 7 days.

Hmmmm...I think I could go a movie with Uma Thurman single handedly taking down the Third Reich. Purely for it's historical accuracy you understand.
