Very,Very WELL DONE!! I am fighting the temptation to get into The WWII First Legion Arena. but pictures Like this.........Need self control.

Wow very nice pictures !

While looking at them, I was wondering how are the painters drawing the tiny grain lines of the wood of the rifles. Are they using a brush or some sort of pen ? Because they look so straight and perfect, I can't believe it was done with a brush !

Alex

Great looking pics!! I love the pic looking through the hole in the wall, I got the anti-tank team running together lat week and it's just as sweet, can't wait to pick up some more Ruskies....Sammy

Great work my friend , as you know I really liked what you were able to achieve with your Borodino display . Since you have now discovered First Legion any chance you will be working on a new Borodino display ? I really like some of your shots they really bring you down into the scene . Two thumbs way up , Thanks for sharing your work with us . All the best Gebhard

Thank you for the kind words:eek:
Yes my friend , DEFINITELY I'll make new Borodino display ,for now just couldn't resist the Stalingrad series(they are so real):D
Before jump into Borodino i want to experiment with other sets and battles.

I have been mulling over your pictures for several days now and my English is just not good enough to describe my fascination with them. They are simply outstanding. Between frank, rod and you we now have three photographers on the FL forum that make the figures come alive. I envy anybody who can resist buying a couple of these for a small corner of his collection. :)

I think your specialty (and I need to revisit the photos of your Napoleonics) is the transition from the base to the photographic background. Extremely well done. You have my gratitude for posting these pictures. Toy soldier collector heaven.

I think you are selling yourself a little short , As I'm sure I'm not the only guy on here who has gotten much joy from viewing your photo's . Your name should be added to the list of Master photographers who frequent the First Legion threads , I wish I had some of your talent a BIG THANKS to you all;) I could not agree more with your sentiment . It really is Toy Soldier Heaven . All the best Gebhard

I have to say these are excellent photos my friend; between you and Frank, you really make these excellent figures come to life. I must tell you there were moments when I thought you had intersperced some live action photos.;) What ever battles you decide to do, I shall very much look forward to them. Boy the realism in this series is simply uncanny as well.

Excellent set up...fantastic photos too...thanks for sharing...you did a really nice job...

I'm so flattered... :eek::D
Thank you guys for your comments .
I’m also glad and thrilled that you all appreciate the realism I was able to create in my pic.
Thank you, everyone for your encouragements.
It was my pleasure to share with you!

Great work indeed, your backgrounds fit just perfectly with the sets....good job.

Rod.

Your photos provide terrible temptations:;)!

Nice photos of the figures shame they are not compatible with 1/30 or, I may be tempted.
Mitch

I have tons of K&C 60mm Napoleonic figures (and WWII) but I don't display them with my FL figures. FL figures match more with Aeroart offerings and they deserve their own exposition space. I should post soon how I display my figures.

Cheers,

Alex

Once you purchase First Legion you will not worry about scale/compatiability as you will want to purchase many more.... VERY ADDICTIVE....All First legion products "go very well together";)....Why deny yourself the best product out there on the basis of compatiablity......

Mitch there are many threads on scale here that I need not repeat but suffice it to say that FL figures are about as close to a true proportioned 1/30 as you can get. The largest volume manufacturer that claims that size actually has figures that are larger at around a bulky 1/28 and with even larger weapons and hands. You are correct that they do not go well together but it is less the scale than the difference in detail. The pictures do not lie.

Please go ahead. I have been very curious about your collection for awhile. We have too few pictures of collections (like in display cases)' while we get a good number of dioramas.
