Visited the JJD UK site last night to find they have updated their Intel & Recon Page. Some new photos of John. In the third one down he's holding a 'mystery object' ( Clank).

Have a look. I'm really excited as I think I know what it might be - a real ground shaker!! Here's the link ( Sorry, I've just realised I've spelt mysterious wrong in the header........)

Well Chaps

I'm guessing a Renault light tank 17.
Got to dash off other wise I would search for a photo. I think the old Northwest toy soldier company made one a few years ago. John may just throw a curve ball, you never Know.

If my guess is right it's definitely a curve ball. That shape is long and low......... I'm going for a much heavier beast!

Could be a St. Chamond or Schneider. -- Al

Well the clues French vehicle and 'Clank' obviously made me think TANK!

The St Chamond would be my guess Al. A close look at pic the shows what could be the top of a cupola at right end, the bottom of the tracks towards the mid to left end and possibly the tip of a rear machine gun at left rear.

These seem to marry up to a side ways view of a certain mark of St. Chamond. ( The tank would be pointing towards John.) One of these would certainly be a must have for me!

However, what with Adam, James and John's sense of humour and John's art of miss-direction......................??????????

Good eyes, Roy. I didn't see any of those clues until I read this and went back and studied the pic. I'd be in on any French tank.:wink2: -- Al

Dear All
Isn't this how John introduce the Condor Legions arrival with the word clank. Well that or I'm having a flash back to something that never happened. At the time we cried knights and we got tanks. Well this time we cry tanks and well we could get French men at arms. Well I wait with baited breath.

Glynn
