Any plumbers out there? (1 Viewer)

I don,t want unecessary work if not needed. My overflow pipe on the water heater has a small puddle of water by it. My water heater is 19 years old and I,m wondering if this means the heater is going bad and needs to be replaced or is it just simply "overflow". Gary

Try to send a PM to Vandilay. He is a plumber so maybe he could give you some advice. I know when my water heater started leaking it had to be replaced. My Fridge started leaking water yesterday. There goes my defense budget. John

Not a plumber but my understanding is that the overflow is connected to the pressure release valve. If this is true that means the valve popped for some reason ( high pressure)

Im not a plumber. But Ive bought two water heaters (in two different houses). A 19 year old water heater is a very old water heater! Once they go, they go. Only option is to replace.

Water heaters arent really that expensive. Be sure to see if your insurance may apply.

I know some plummers - G. Gordon Liddy - are those the kind of plummers you need !

No Capitilron, they only work in the dead of the night, and I don't think they give a warranty!
