I recently got some NVA figures (the new set and two of the old sets) from Hobby Bunker, and when I opened them a figure or two from each set had pieces that fell off (part of the AK 47, for instance). I don't know if they were that way from Figarti, damaged in shipping from Hobby Bunker, or something I did in opening them (I was extremely careful)...so I don't know who to hold accountable.

This happened about a week or two ago, but as my PC died I've been dealing with that as a priority.

I was wondering if anyone had similar problems with those figures. Or just in general, when you have problems with new figures, what you do. Do you complain to the manufacturer, the retailer...or just suck it up?

Figarti products are notorious for being too delicate ... the problem with having all the detail and closed to scale equipment is the breakage.:( You should contact Hobby Bunker and ask for replacements.:)

Unfortunately as Steven said that is a huge problem with Figarti.
They have gotten better, but still have a ways to go to fix this.
The thing is you send them back and the new ones are just as likely to arrive broken as the ones you sent back, I,ve had that happen to me.

I bought the first Wake Is. set from Matt at the Westcoaste. After seeing sample figures at the Figarti event, I had to have the set. When I got home and started getting ready to set up the various items I had picked up in room trading, I was disappointed to find that one of my Wake Island figures was broken. Big disappointemnt, but I learned my lesson. Always inspect all figures at the time of purchase! The figure that was damaged was the running individual carrying an ammo box. His foot was fractured at the mid-heel pivot point, just above where the foot connects w/ the base. This appears to be a susceptible break point. The good news is that Matt said he'd exchange it for a new set. I sent the set out priority mail from CA To MA (at my expense, however he said he'd credit me back for shipping because I bought an additional item as well to have the replacement set sent back with. But so far my credit card statement doesn't reflect this reminbursement, but does show a second shipping cost!?!?!?) Anyways, I'm waiting on the replacement set now. I have my fingers crossed that all figures are intact. Matt said he had randomly checked six sets prior to making them available for sales at the Westcoaster, and all were perfectly fine. So to answer your question, as much as I love Figarti, I have had problems w/ breakage with their products, and this was not the first time. That being said, I have great faith in Figarti that they will continue to improve in this regard, based on the fact that they have shown the ability to improve dramatically in a multitude of other areas. They are committed to be among the elite. I really enjoy their creations and the Figarti focus on quality products and customer satisfaction. :)
