Guys,

Short and sweet: fed up with oversize figures and too small AFV'S. Thinking about taking the dive into FL.

Talk me off the cliff.

Or tell me to JUMP.

Show me some photo's of your FL vehicles, preferably with figures.

Armchair Warrior...

I would try and talk you down from the cliff you are on but, it would be seen as controversial and, I would undoubtedly be reported!!!LOL. Your best course of action would be to try and see these figures for yourself in the flesh and judge what you think. if they meet with what you feel is missing from the main manufacturers then begin to collect. They are nice, they were not for me, in terms of WWII but, thats my choice of what I want to see in a figure and, nobody else's. If what you want (and it seems from our conversations elsewhere) is figures that match with AFV's then these will suit your needs and, as a few have shown they work well with FOV and others rather well so, you can widen your compatability needs.

Frank's Stalingrad thread has wonderful photos of First Legion vehicles and its soldiers in diorama surroundings, including pictures of the "new" T-34. The same is true for his Afrika Korps thread. I think you will find most of your questions answered there.

What for me sets First Legion apart from most other manufacturers is the detail of the vehicles which in my opinion borders on the quality of kit vehicles like Dragon, Tamiya and others, customized with PE. I may therefore take the liberty of re-posting details of the Sturmgeschuetz.

But please be forewarned that First Legion's selecion of WWII AFV's is rather small compared to other manufacturers and that new releases of AFV's (again compared to competition, possibly other than JJD) are far between. The good thing is that the quality in my opinion is consistently high, there are no changes in the scale and that the vehicles are well researched.

So far, Matt has not produced any vehicles in camouflage (which is clearly against the trend), no late war vehicles like Tiger, Panther or King Tiger (which is definitely against the trend) and does not weather his vehicles heavily.

In the interest of disclosure: I have Figarti and First Legion vehicles, I think they work together well. Enjoy.

I thought FL was a main manufacturer :rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

I guess some people know better than the rest of us ^&grin^&grin^&grin

But as others have suggested ... look at Frank's pics

Hi armchair warrior, here is a photo of a dio of mine featuring the grey Opel with riders/supplies/ being loaded up, I can only tell you that I am very happy with the scale size of both the vehicles as well as the soldiers, let alone the detail and quality of the figures, like I have told a few other(possible) new First Legion collectors, buy one or two and see for yourself, take care...Sammy

When You make the jump to FL it is like entering another world......They do solve the Size / Scale problem, detail and paint is excellent...BUT.....What do you do with the rest of your stuff..........I have about 20 Figures and a Stug....I love them, yet I have not bought any more. I have nightmares about this. Sometimes I say I am selling everything and just buying FL, then I say I am not sure. I do love TG Figures and Figarti AFV's but then you are back to the size thing.

I guess I didnt help much.{sm4}

I did weather the Stug !

I can only speak for myself but First Legions WWII figures got me back into collecting WWII and if you knew me you would know that was no mean feet . IMO FL are producing the best WWII figures ever made period .Here are some shots by my old friend Sotnik , I would also highly recommend a long look at Franks Stalingrad thread there is a reason it has over 60,000 views just wonderful stuff. Regards Gebhard

JUMP by all means.....PICTURES ARE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS...(many pictures available on the FL part of the forum)....I started collecting First Legion about 2 years ago.....Absolutely the best TS decision.....Nothing Else even comes close to the quality and detail of First Legion. You can keep collecting oversized poorly sculpted 1:28th figures.....Or you can shift your collection before you purchase more of the same old "STUFF"......Jump and experience the quality and detail.:smile2:

Guys

Thank you all for the comments and some fantastic photos. I am on the edge and ready to fall.
