Hello all :)

Found these¨vintage timpo soldiers and each comes in a sealed transparent plastic bag.

Just wondering if this is the "oficial" timpo packaging or any special issue ? Did they came bagged like this like inside the boxes of full sets or these were sold separately?

Thanks a lot for any info... attaching pic!

Timpo figures were sold in window boxes much like the Britains Swoppets and Deetail figures were; any that came in packaging like that, I'd assume they were parts of larger playsets and included like that in the overall packaging.

Not 100% sure, but that's my best guess.

I've seen examples on eBay with plastic wrap like these. The Mexican has clearly been in his for a long time. Interesting that the plastic hasn't preserved the plastic enough and his legs have broken.

Try one of these:

Timpo Swoppets are primarily of interest in Germany and the UK.

No mate, as 'Warrior' correctly points out the plastic bags aren't standard packaging. Most Timpo came in boxes or as he described.

The only other country licensed to produce Timpo was New Zealand back in the 70's and all their stuff was sold in colourful cardboard boxes.

Personally I'd be vey careful buying any Timpo being sold in plastic bags, especially given the age of the figures.

There are some very serious Timpo collectors in the UK & Germany and also here in NZ.

NZ produced some odd colour variations which makes many NZ Timpo figures highly sort after.

Good luck.
