Just wondering how many of you guys will be going for the retired items this month.I must confess i want them all this time round. However i went for the M12 first as i think its a bargain at the moement and will soon be departing the shelves lickety split.

I really want the souvenir hunters set w/German flag, the German T34 is another must have.

I got my M12 last year at Chicago as my "impulse buy" and haven't regretted it a bit. It's a great display piece!

Just out of curiosity Rob, if you're only allowed one impulse buy, per show, what do you classify the other 6 or 7 unplanned purchases as?;)

Second that! The M12 is one of those lesser known pieces that really catches the eye. I've had several people comment on mine and how they didn't realize that such large SPGs were even fielded by the Americans:eek:. Really a great set to get!

The M12 in my opinion is going to become highly collectible. As we know, K&C has continued to market several versions of Tigers, Shermans, etc. I highly doubt we are going to see another M12 anytime soon. It is a beautiful piece of armor/artillary, and with a 155mm gun, it is one of the few pieces of American firepower marketed by K&C that could rip apart the almighty Tigers. If there was ever one retired piece to grab, this is it!

It has been on my Radar since it came out. Other purchases just got in the way. I have ordered it today however. I am thrilled to have it coming.

You may have gotten the M12 just in time. It looks as though treefrog is out of stock! I think seirra may have a few left. Anyway, if anyone has the book "Sherman", by R.P. Hunnicutt, there are some nice photo's of the M12, firing its gun in battle. They could penetrate 7 feet of reinforced concrete at 2000 yards, making them deadly for enemy pillboxes.

Mine just arrived!.Superb model and so glad i got it.Finally my Allies have some real punch!:)

I really think this one is going to be a real keeper:cool:. I can hear people 2-3 years down the road bemoaning the lack of Allied artillery available. Glad you were able to snatch one up:).
