I have a vintage model kit of a Hudson River Sloop that I would love to pay someone to build in a professional manner. Anyone know a good builder in the Northeast US?

Regards,
Sandor :salute::

I am having SD Model Makers of Carlsbad.CA.make me the U.S.S.Inchon (LPH-12).

Two groups come to mind. One is your old club, the Wings & Wheels IPMS, and they may know someone. The other is the Connecticut Marine Modeler Society, another IPMS club. They focus on ships, naturally, and most of the members' work is scratchbuilt, much of it in wood, in the classic way. And they build kits. From the description of the kit, I suspect that your commission is right up their alley.

Their website is http://ctshipmodels.org/index.html

Hope that helps, prost!

They make great models. I recently received LHD 3, USS Kearsarge in 1/ 350 scale. Pics are on my collections thread. Would like to see pics of your Inchon. Chris
