I bought these from evilbay, only £20.69. I really like them, in the pictures thought they were Britains, but they are not, thought they would go with my Britains History of the British Army Gloss figures, they fit very well, but would like to know who made them, nothing on Base, which is a lot rougher than Britains.

My first thought was Tradition of London, but when I had a closer look at some I have in my collection, I can see that they aren't.

I have also painted castings by Tommy Atkins, so they could be from them?

Hope that helps,

John

Hi there,
I believe they come from the Irish Toy Soldier Museum. A shop in Belfast.

I had the same first thought as John, that they're Tradition, and the same followup, at closer look, I can see that they're not. They are indeed Tommy Atkins castings.

I'm not so sure they're from Sam Watkins' Irish Toy Soldier Museum, though, only because I only know of his sets of the Royal Irish (18th Foot) and the 27th Foot. I didn't know that he produced any other sets. They're also not quite in the same style as his sets. But I may be wrong.

Twenty pounds isn't bad for the three of them, congratulations on your find!

Prost!

This is a picture from the Irish Toy Soldier Museum website of their Inniskilling Regt, 27th Foot Colour Party

Look like the same castings to me, but on checking the 48th Foot should have buff facings, not yellow!!

These images below are from Tommy Atkins website so that confirms who made them :)

They are available as casting and painted.
