Well heres your chance guys,no less than four more 101st and 82nd US Paras in fully deployed chutes.I have the first batch and am just wondering what they will look like with another four,I'll have to crouch in the office all the time!;)

Do you think we might get some british paras fully deployed one of these days?

Those U.S. paras are great, they make for a unique conversation piece when displayed somewhere. I know this isn't a suggestion thread but British Paras would indeed be a nice addition, I'd buy them.

I think Dave has started something here, hope Andy looks in;).As author of this thread any Para suggestions are very welcome here.I know the Brit Paras for Arnhem and Normandy are very alike but I was wondering if Andy had considered any for D Day.I thought that if he did any for the assault on Merville Battery they could be armed with different equip than the Arnhem figs with stuff like mine sweepers, barbed wire cutters,Bazookas for dealing with armoured doors etc.I think some figs for this short but violent action would be so cool and would then lead for a cry for more Bunkers such as those at Merville.

These will look great with the other two KC and another two Conte paras in my new display room (when I fix it up) here in San Antonio, I'm planning the room lighting as we speak.

Can someone please produce a nice C-47, LOL. 1/30 or 1/32 scale, I'm not picky. LOL

The largest ones I know of are Franklin Mint 1:48 scale. If you have a high enough ceiling, the c-47 could be at the top and tha paras half way down.

I think K&C made one sometime ago in wood. I asked this question a few months back and I think that is the only one made in this scale. It would be nice to see a new one though :)

The cost of a wood one wold be unaffordable to most collectors. And a polystone C-47 at 1:30 would be very heavy.

Just a word of caution on these paras. If they are like the first group be VERY CAREFULL when undoing the parachute cords, if they get tangled you will never get them straight.

K & C did make a C 47 in wood although I've never seen one (I don't believe Louis has one in his collection).

McKenna used to have a nice one (I think he sold it) that he bought from Noli Poli. There are some photos here on the Forum.

Well said, yes they do need a slow and steady approach when taking them out,but once hanging they don't twist themselves up or anything.

I missed out on them the last time, but not this time.
