They used to advertise in the mid-section of TS&MF magazine?:)

They put up info about having kneeling figures and cannons after having pics of their 28th North Gloucesters and other sets in the magazine, then one day just disappeared?:(
Anyone know what happened?

I have a couple of his sets, 28th Inniskilling and a set of 28th North's and they are really good, pure lead stile!:DAlbeit smaller than your average set of trophy napoleonics?

Anyone know who the owner was and why he quit business?:(

Also remember that his website only ever worked on a Friday evening!?

Martin Tabony sculpted for William King, and he's a forum member, maybe he'll see this thread and join in. I don't remember more details off the top of my head, but I think there's an article in an old issue of Toy Soldier & Model Figure about that maker.

Prost!

Cheers mate!:D

Glad to help!

I thought that this question had come up in the past, so I did a search and found an older thread, where we discussed this, and Martin joined in:

If I understand correctly, I may have to correct what I wrote in the earlier post, he didn't sculpt for William King, Martin is William King. Though, maybe I'm wrong.

I have the Old Guard grenadier in greatcoat figure that TS&MF gave out one year as the premium for renewing subscriptions. Some of the Irish Toy Soldier Museum figures I have may be from Martin, too, but I'm not sure.

Prost!

You're right the figures are mine but the magazine wanted them sold under their name! I was O.K. about that as long as they stated clearly that the copyright was mine, if you look under the bases they say "copyright Martin Tabony" . I won't go into details about way we parted ways but I still have the figures.

Any for sale?:)

I've been working on other things for the last few years but all of the moulds for my true 1/32nd scale figures are sound, so yes they are available but I don't sell castings.
There are a fair few that didn't get on the market for one reason or another, Highland light infantry, mounted 21st Lancer band etc. I should try and get some painted up and post some pictures.

Martin.
