Hi,
I recently acquired one of these and I quite like it. I would prefer a more worn look including missing or damaged skirt sections. Has anyone tried this or know how difficult it would be? If you have any pictures it would be appreciated.
Thanks

The skirts are simply glued on and are not difficult to remove. However, the skirts have a notch that fits into a corresponding hole on the Tiger's body. This hole is rectangular and quite obvious with the skirt removed and would have to be filled and painted. It is not hard to do, just another step. -- Al

UK Subs removed the skirts successfully on his TCS King Tigers and repainted them. He posted photos on the Forum. The K&C King Tiger BBG 016 has a more worn look with missing fender sections and is the same size as the TCS.

The 21st Century Cold Steel King Tiger is 1/30 scale and also has missing fender sections. The detail is as good as polystone models and the cost is about $60 on eBay! I would buy one of these to modify or weather rather than a polystone model; which is rather brittle.

If you drop it I can gurantee some of the skirts will be removed. The battle damage will be readily apparent also:p

Thank for the input! Dropping it would certainly do the trick!
I didn't have any luck trying to find old images of the work that UK Subs did but will keep looking.

To be more helpful sometimes you have to be willing to stretch and try something new. The thing has rather thick walls. They are made primarily of resin. Don't breath the dust if you start cutting. PM me and perhaps I can steer you in the right direction. Or perhaps I can do the conversion for you.
