My contribution to this month

Battle of Aspern - Essling: 1809

Brave 18th, I know you, the enemy does not stand around you (Bonaparte)
....... May 21, 1809 at 5:30 p.m., the brigade is sent Ledru resume Aspern position.
With light and Hochberg 26th regiment, the 18th cleans the streets of the village and takes possession of the key points ....
Guy.:salute::

Tough choice between liking the figures or the backdrop, both are terrific. Robin.

Agreed and I like the second pic the best, very realistic blending the foreground and figures with the backdrop.

Two of mixed makers:

Panzergrenadiers, members of the Panzer Aufklarung battalion and Tigers of Panzergrenadier Division Grossdeutschland move out to intercept a Russian incursion in late February 1945. Tiger A12 leads the way. The last 3 remaining Tigers will smash into Ivan's thrust destroying over 50 T-34s and 30 Soviet guns. Hauptmann Hans Bock will be awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for his leadership. The kampfgruppe's reward? On completion, to turn around and give up all the ground they gained to do the same thing the next day against another of Ivan's thrusts. Another day in a winter paradise...

Achtung, Kontakt!

The entire formation turns to engage T-34s supported by SU-100s. Bock's own command Tiger, the last in the theater moves into firing position flanked by the recce troops who turn their 2cm Flaks and MG-42s on the hapless Bolshevik infantry covering the T-34s.

NICE Sammy.:smile2:...FL needs to make more of these Grey Stalingrad STUG III's (along with some winter Stug's):salute:::salute::....Personally I would love to see FL make a Grey Stug III Ausf D with short barrel assault gun.

Awesome pic Sam and it would be even more realistic if you wacked a backdrop in.

Hi Tom, thanks for the kind words, I thought about a backdrop but I really don't have any good ones, and it was a pain to get this angle of this shot, but yea a nice backdrop would look good with the Sherman in the back ground...Sammy
