Is it my imagination or does it seem like Trophy AZW Zulus and 24th Foot aren't moving very well on eBay?

Maybe equipment is still selling, but the other items seem to be getting relisted over and over. I was considering selling of my AZW Trophy figures since I am out of storage space.

Where is r***r when you need him? (Buying Lord Roberts' staff car for around $667 cool ones. Yikes)

I think the problem is supply and demand. Over supply leads to a concomitant drop in demand.

The later, post 1998, sets fetch very good prices because they very rarely turn up on Ebay or similar.

Most of the Hand2Hand sets from HZ19 onwards had a very limited run, the same goes for the later ZS sets from ZS54 onwards, along with the last 3 or 4 BD sets. The EQ sets, in many cases can and do fetch a premium.

Cheers

What distinguishes the post 1998 sets from the earlier editions? What should I look for to identify them?

Many of the Trophy pieces offered on ebay are unboxed items with a high fixed price and it is obvious why these are not selling.

Boxed items that are in good condition tend to do well. Unfortunatly, many times the figures offered have a high starting price and, again, tend not to sell. It would be nice if sellers allowed their items to be offered at low reserves so that they can find their market level. I presume some people just list items at a price that they would sell at if they could find someone to pay the high level they require.

List your items without reserve and give us all a chance to expand our collections!!

Happy bidding all.

Saw a lot of them available at the Texas Toy Soldier Show today
