As the Oosterbeek perimeter collapses, the Germans intensify their assault on the 1st Airborne division.....

By early morning on September 21st, the British forces around the Arnhem Bridge were defeated and the 9th SS now hammered away with full fury on the Oosterbeek defenders.....

By Sunday the 24th, there were less than 3,000 men left inside the pocket; XXX Corps was not coming, but the men fought on......

Seeing no hope of being reinforced/relieved, Major Urquhart decided to evacuate the 1st British Airborne Division, thus ending the battle........

George, almost as good as your Napoleonics! :rolleyes::D A bit one sided but very nicely painted and presented (as usual). :)

Great display, George. The armor is outstanding but it is the detail paint jobs on the figures of this size that always amazes me. -- Al
 
George another cool setup, great story line, your the pandagen of 20mm. Those buildings are way cool, and everytime I see your setups they amaze.:)
 
fantastic painting and detail ,must be difficult getting that standard in such a small scale,

I love painting up the small scale stuff, managed that layout in a 4' by 2' area, not bad.
