Earthquake not withstanding this is a massive collection of the MG series and credit to your passion and dedication. Very nice. Robin.

Thanks Robin.
I lost a few pieces in the 2011 earthquake and subsequent rattles.
A few more photos.

Well done mate and I'll echo what Robin said.

Tom

Thanks Tom.
I have always been interested in Market Garden.
My Father was a Squadron Leader (Spitfires) who was flying escort for resupply over Arnhem.
Once I saw A Bridge to far, I have always wanted to create a large diorama.
Luckily Andy has brought out some excellent pieces.

Tragic to hear of the damage mate, that sucks. Thankfully the bulk of your set up seems to have survived and I can see some very nice new additions throughout.

Thanks tons for posting some great close up pic's of all the action!:salute::

Looking good dude. I'm sure your wife scored a few pairs of new shoes out of that dio. Hope all is well in Chch.

Really happy the majority got thru an earthquake unscathed. Where I live is also prone to such an event, God forbid. You would hope these little metal figures would be tough enough to survive. Robin.

Thanks Chris.
Cathryn loves her Lancaster, finished with shoes into diamonds now, 3 carat and 5 carat.
Had a 5.7 earthquake on valentines day, where you were in Merivale, had a good shake.
Have posted some pictures of the Avro as well.

Anything over a 5 earthquake and the soldiers fall over, on valentines day we had a 5.7, nasty business.

It gets annoying, especially when you pick them up and the next day you get a decent aftershock, have new sturdy tables.
Are you off to Brisbane to see Andy in July. I will be in Sydney.

Last few photos.

With all this heavy armour no wonder the Para's were overwhelmed by the Germans. Some wonderful sets. Robin.

I reckon the para's should scatter and then the Lanc comes over and carpet bombs all those Jerries on the bridge!

Tom

I like how you added the moss to the vehicles - excellent use for additional cover. Lots to see in your dio.

I esp. like your 234.

Now I'm picturing my own with some additional camo:

Nice diorama! I always use polystyrene bases for my displays to void damages.

Yeah CHCH has been copping it again the last few weeks, unbelievable footage of the cliff's falling apart and the story about the 2x surfers surviving and the surf life-guards kids hiding in a cave is amazing!

Not sure whether or not I'll get to Brissy this year, our kitchen is falling to bits after nearly 30 years so all available funds maybe heading in that direction.

In saying that flights are cheap, so I won't discount it just yet. You should try to pop along, it's well worth it and the Oz lads are a great bunch, not to mention Andy whose a wonderful bloke!!

Have heard odd rumours about those chaps from Brisbane, quite fond of Kangaroos.
I will be catching up with Andy in Sydney, the gentlemen's city.{sm4}

It goes without saying the K&C pieces you've assembled for Market Garden are very impressive but the Arnhem Bridge you've created and the assorted of damaged buildings with all the details is truly awesome. Like the foliage on all the German armour.
