Arnhem in April! (2 Viewers)

I agree with all of the above. Arnhem both old and new have a magical quality,
perhaps it's the feeling of"against all odds". In my dreams i come upon an undiscovered stash of Arnhem figures and vehicles. One can always dream, right?

Can i make a detour from the topic for a moment and say that the photo of Arnhem around the bridge, clearly after the war,is really interesting if you look at the bridge the span of the bridge has been removed and all the rubble cleared in preparation for rebuild, never seen this photo before ,must have been taken after the Canadians liberated the town in April 1945,many thanks for posting it,is the photo dated as a matter of interest ? ken

I would like to see the release of the VC winners of Arnhem/Oosterbeek,would be great to see Robert Cain running with his Piat preparing to take on a King tiger in Oosterbeek. There is a great story from Arnhem of a Paratrooper from the first lift, who fought at the bridge, then fought at Oosterbeek, then swam the rhine, walked to Nijmegen and through all this he complained of having a headache!! but soldiered on,at a RAP in Nijmegen,he asked a doctor for a painkiller and was asked for how long he had it and replied 10 days, that is 1st day of battle, the doctor checked him noticed something unusual and discovered a "Bullet" lodged in his skull, from the 1st day of battle and he lived to tell the tale and the extraction.

a Film worth watching is "Their Is The Glory " witch was filmed in 1946 in Arnhem & used British paras who fought in the battle + has footage of the bridge & use real Panther tanks

If this is true, I'd like to see the following releases.

German 250 or 251 half tracks.
Stug III's.
SdKfz. 222 or 231's
Capt. Victor Graebner's Armour recon vehicles assaulting the bridge.
Also need some some new Waffen SS to go with some new british para's.:)

Can we have this ...

Great to hear re-inforcements are on the way to the bridge. My para's look lonely and this news will perk them up.

My next dio project was going to be finishing my beach Defences on my D Day dio,I'm now wondering if I should make a scene of German and Para clashes in the suburbs of Arnhem:cool:

I still dont understand why you guys are getting excited about the last release of the Arnhem Series ?

I recommend that you all start collecting a range that will be around forever .... NAPOLEONICS !
:D :D :D

A patrol of the Glider Pilot Regiment :)eek: one in a kilt!) wearing their distinctive rucksacks would be nice.

 This could mean a NEW Sherman (FIREFLY) Tank, and a NEW Armored Car AEC MKI/II, for the Future Arnhem Series?
