I noticed on the toysoldiersusa site on the Arnhem home page there is a Jeep listed in the home page picture as "Airborne Jeep"...though under item numbers no "Airborne Jeep exists?

MG002 is described as Airborne jeep, difficult to find one these days. Robin.

Yeah I'd agree with ya Robin, they seem to have a really good resale value and can be hard to get hold of for a good price now-a-days. Thankfully a bloody nice Aussie bloke helped me out with one of the early ones on my first visit across the ditch last July...not mentioning any names A Wayne mate :wink2::salute::

I liked.the trailer.it.came.with! And hope we see another trailer released!

Mark is referring to the Arnhem range, not Market Garden. The flyer refers to an Airborne Jeep but no one was actually issued like that. It may just be a generic description.

MG002 has a long time ago been announced as "the Arnhem Jeep"

Excuse me, but this thread is supposed to deal with the Arnhem 1944 range, not the Market Garden range {eek3}

See below. The Jeep on the left is the "Airborne Jeep" but has no number. If any of you have an answer to Mark's question, please answer it here. If not, please start another thread :smile2:

Yes my question is what Brad said...regarding the original Arnhem set (picture Brad included)

Thanks!

It was a good question and I frankly don't know the answer. Maybe Andy just took a Jeep without figures, etc. and placed it there to fill the scene. I can ask him to see what he might remember.

Are you for real, I responded as a genuine attempt to help the guy, as did several other members and you get up on your high horse. Not all of us have a PHD in K&C 'Airborne Jeeps' . No-one is trying to hijack the thread or cause offence and since when did you become a moderator anyway? Unbelievable.

Wow, looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the Koala Bear ^&grin

If you looked at the question posed by Mark (who collects old K & C), he was asking about Arnhem and the Airborne Jeep, not Market Garden.

If my tone was a little over the top, my apologies. By the way, I did used to be a moderator here :wink2:

For the record I had a wonderful nights sleep after a great evening.....you also maybe interested to know that we don't actually have Koala's in NZ, but certainly have plenty of sheep and a pile of other furry imports from Oz.:wink2:

To be fair I didn't follow his attached link, but at first glance responded to an ambiguous question in an honest attempt to help the bloke and I'm still mystified that you thought it was necessary to chastise members for responding as such.

Apology accepted, I've moved on and won't be commenting further in this thread.

Again, my apologies.

Yes, probably have lots of good lamb I'm sure. Lamb chops is a weakness of mine.

So did I ,I only wanted to help. I did not even know there was a series called "Arnhem 1944". If somebody wants to get on a high horse over a simple answer, I have some advice, join another forum.

The range that made K & C what it is today or got it going in that direction was Arnhem 1944. Andy said that's where it all began for him and where WW II really started. Since the introduction of thst range things have never been the same in the toy soldier/military miniatures world.

Thanks for the support guys, but me and Brad have sorted the issue out now via PM and it's all good. Lets put it all down to a minor speed bump and get back to enjoying the forum and sharing our passion for this great hobby.

Cheers Toddy:salute::

I heard back from Andy. The Jeep in question was a wooden prototype that they decide to include in the flyer. Unfortunately, it was badly damaged a few years ago and tossed. Too bad as I'm sure that even damaged it would have been interest to collectors.

Wise words !!!!
guy:)

Thought I would post some photos of my Arnhem collection. Obviously early K & C but you can see which way K & C, a glossy maker until then, was heading. Sorry for the bright photos but the room in which this display case is located is dark.
