There's a well known photo of a group of British Para's being marched off to captivity at Arnhem, one of them gives the traditional defiant two finger Britsh salute to the German Photographer,if Andy makes some Germans for Arnhem this would make an interesting set!

Rob

I think he could flip the salute and it would be equally interesting, but either would make an interesting addition to the line. Me thinks we may have to wait a few months before seeing any more MG sets though.

Yes i agree mate and i'm not asking for this, its just i saw the pic again and thought thats a typically British response and it might amuse Andy;)

For the life of me I can't remember the guy's name. I've got that photo in a book SOMEWHERE at home. I'll try and find it next week. I'm sure he was a Captain and a Gentleman. A great and defiant response.

For those of you who collect 'After the Battle' its in the second issue 'Arnhem' page 15.The pic is owned by the Bundesarchive and is entitled 'British soldier Lw Kdo West'. Excuse my ignorance but i wonder if thats 'Lt Commander'?.

Found it. It's in "Armagedon" by Max Hastings. Unfortunatey this copy didn't scan particulary well, but......
A truly wonderful, defiant and 100% British response. :):)

Was originally going to post "You're kidding", but on reflection its probably true. Time to bring back compulsory reading of wee war comics.

Though it IS titled Arnhem, I think Andy needs to expand the line to include all of Market Garden. Appropriate SS units, 82nd, 101st and Polish paras, 30th Corps. Since the US paras changed uniforms from the D-Day Invasion to the newer M-43 version for OMG so, it's not appropriate to use D-Day figs for OMG. Just my thoughts.

I am hoping for some Polish Para's too.As for US Airborne i think Andy might not make anymore for a while, but you never know.
