For those of you on the forum who believe that my statements about Arnhem - Market Garden - K&C Range is being retired - please let me set the record straight.

The King & Country Range of Arnhem /Market Garden IS NOT BEING RETIRED ! - it was a joke.

Please do not take those comments seriously. Brad has informed me a few of you may have taken my words to be true and not in Jest - so please - for the love of WWII and future development of your collections do not let this small joke refrain you from buying this wonderful range.

Now for big news - YES, Brad is right - I am collecting Market Garden and plan to put a display in my new cabinet at home.   I do love the figures and plan to collect the entire range.

So - if that is happening then it really must be going away and being retired forever - LOL !! :p That was a joke again.

Regards, Ron

Well its good to have you collecting Arnhem Ron,if your previous displays are anything to go by i look forward to seeing your collection of Red Devils.I finally get to complete mine next Saturday,at last!:)

I'm surprised so many people fell for it Ron. Maybe you should have saved if for April 1st? :)

It's a great collection though and my personal favourite. I need only one more figure for the complete set so far. It's the first range i've managed to complete.

Me too,it will be very satisfying finally having a whole range, until Andy gives us more goodies. After Arnhem i hear landing craft heading for Normandy...'God be with you and i'll see you on the beach'! ;):)

I'll have all Arnhem excluding the polish by next week.
The shipment is on its way.

Currently I only have the retired jeep.

For my diorama I already have the Gittens Arnhem house.

Now I only need a landed horsa glider and a hartenstein.

It was a joke????????????????????? OH man I panicked and spent a thousand bucks! I hope I can take them back:eek:

I see Brad - has edited my critical remarks about dealers who had complained - Please feel free to PM me I will share with each of you individually. ;)

Ronn:

That was really a good one! Leave it to you to stir things up!

Of course now I am starting a rumor that Napoleon is being retired........to

be replaced by a series of Kilted Vampires!:D

I think I just saw a pig fly over my house! Capitolron is collecting Arnhem????? I for one appreciate your humour on this forum. In the spirit of all the money Washington D.C. is handing out I make the following suggestion. The damage you have obviously caused all us collectors and dealers requires financial compensation. I believe everyone on this forum is now entitled to the entire Arnhem series payable by you. Let the punishment fit the crime!

In defence of Ron.

This is a forum discussing and exchanging ideas and points of view.

Official retirement info should come from the K&C website.

Dispatches !

Ron first placed the "joke" within his post summarizing some of the topics discussed by Andy at the Symposium. Ron is a great supporter of K&C and regularly communicates with Andy, so some collectors assumed this was breaking news. There was no "smiley" face or other indication that the statement was made in jest. Some forum members may know that he likes to kid "arnhem1944mad" about the Arnhem line, but many do not.:(

I suggest a King & Country crime has been committeed here, and punishment should be swift for the offending party. I might suggest we sentence Mr.
Capitol Ron to work in Washington D.C. for an undetermined length of time
so he might learn to always speak the truth, and not try and misdirect his
activities from the unsuspecting public.................oh, ah...........

Never Mind!

Thanks alot buddy I just spent that $1,000 dollars on the entire range myself. :D

that most hurt mate but look at it from another point of veiw you now have the entire range on display in your home good luck with your new display ;)

Ron you should ask King and Country for a commission fee.
You have single handedly boosted sales of Arnhem! :D

No.......not our Ron! He told me he just works in washington helping those

folks out. He did tell me his job had gotten a bit more difficult lately. It seems

in the past there was a shortage of town cars, and limos..........now they

have completely run out of the dump trucks they use to haul our money

away. He did say that he was helping design the new quadtrillion dollar bill

which should be in circulation shortly. It is estimated that you will need one of

these to buy a book of matches in another week or two.

Here is a sneak peek of it.
