Does anyone know what going on with ART I.G.? They seem to be out of business since June 09...

Actually I just got the answer to my own question...uncanny timing indeed...ART I.G. just posted 2 days ago an update on their website. They are back in business:
"2009.11.25 Our company has renewed manufacture
Dear customers,
our company has renewed manufacture of figures. Now we do reconstruction of our old models and manufacturing new casting molds in connection with transition to new technologies.
As now we have started to make new models: we continue a series of marshals of Napoleon; the complete set of carabinieres consisting of five models; the complete set of Chasseurs mounted. In the near future we shall acquaint you with our new sculptors, artists and other excellent workers. Watch our news. We hope to satisfy your collection with our new qualitative figures."

This is good news since their craftmanship is outstanding!

The ones I have are comparable in scale to First Legion's. I just ordered their mameluke squadron leader and their guard grenadier kettledrummer (both mounted).

Did you go assembled and painted or kit?

I love these figures, I am very glad they are back in business, have a number of these figures, will try and post some photos soon. They are smaller than K&C, real 54mm.

The latter...I bought their 1st Grenadier Old Guard Regiment set while in Moscow (Russia) a few years ago. The details of their sculpting and painting is excellent.

You can see the Art I.G. 1st Grenadier set I have on the right handside of one of the pics of my TFF album:

Thanks Paulo!
The other figures (Napoleon's staff) are made by Bruno Leibovitz of Metal Modeles in France. I have all 26 Marshall's and nearly 36 members of his HQ staff. You can see all of them on my album:

I bought them in Paris nearly 8 year ago at "Les Drapeaux de France". You can order them from their website as well (expensive now with USD/EUR rate though): http://www.drapeaux-de-france.net/
With respect to Metal Modeles (one among the best sculpting companies IMO), they also have a website but they only sell their production non painted:

Enjoy!

Many thanks for the info, I am going to check it out!
Now some photos, excuse me for the poor quality.
