Any of you guys got plans to nip in quick and get something before the much welcome rise in VAT from our wonderful and much loved Government? (wow I'm Mr sarcastic this morning arn't I!;)). As usual I'm tempted on many fronts. The Crusader appeals as it will go very nice with forthcoming Grant, the Big Red 1 figures are also high on the list, and having played around with them a bit in London I just love the US D Day landing craft.

So guys, any purchases on the Horizon?.

Rob

No, probably not.

My next order will be for the French Corner shop in the new year.

Not worrying about the VAT rise all the bits I am after are old releases and VAT is not the main problem.

How long do you think it will be before you guys will get your paychecks and your net pay will be in the negative?

I am curious - has anyone seen what the new UK prices for KC will be in 2011?

We have the retro-price increases and VAT.

I have seen the product list but no prices - anyone have them?

Cheers

Well K&C UK sent out a list that has the retro price increase on it, but am not sure about the VAT rise.

For technical reasons we cannot set up the site to activate the new 20%VAt until midnight of the 3rd into the 4th of Jan 2011.

Dad has spent a week working on the retro prices and VAT prices and i can assure you that the VAT is not as bad as the retro increases on figures but yes make for a nice!! double wammy.

i dont think you will see a major rush in the UK for sales pre VAT increase on anything as much as there was not a rush when the VAT went down! your are looking at penny jumps with the VAT from the 17.5% - 20% on figures of course more on vehicles.

All prices change on the 1st for the retro and 4th for the VAT however being out of the country until the 4th on vacation this may take a day or so either side.
Orders placed online and paid for before the increase will be at the old VAT

Thanks for info Tony, the retro prices won't worry me too much looking at the prices, so will continue getting the stuff I want into the new year. The King Tiger and Kubel were the start of the retro purchases for me.Glad the VAT on figures won't be a huge rise, with that and getting Andy's thoughts in London, 2011 is looking like another good year for collecting :)

Cheers mate

I know taxes are something we all detest and Canada's are quite high like Britain's however there are significant benefits in healthcare, welfare and public services etc that are the envy of many other jurisdictions. Here in Canada at least our dollar is at roughly par with the USD so that has made purchasing toy soldiers a little easier.

CFM...

I think your right we moan and groan but, we have free health care etc so, when we look at real suffering and poverty around and about our moans are not really bad. How many toy soldiers can I buy this month or this year!!!!
