It's a common mistake but the British 7th Division are the official 'Desert Rats' with a Red Jerboa emblem. The Australian 9th Division were 'The Rats of Tobruk' and had a Platypus over a Boomerang as their emblem.

I built a model of a captured Italian M13 Tank with the Kangaroo insignia when I was a kid. One of the forum members posted a photo of the same model kit he had built (I think on the diorama forum). I would love to see K&C make one of these!
