Guys, I don't know if this has been discussed before...

I have customized a 1/6 ALH figure with reference to K&C 1/30 figures and was designing the 1/6 arm patch...
then I noticed that the following inconsistency of the arm patch dark/light blue color positions
(The left figure is regular release and the Right is the Collector's club figure)

I presumed that the collector club figure was a 'test/prototype' figure so it is more likely to be inaccurate. Anyone knows which arm patch color is correct?

Gday mate, the patch on the figure is of the 4th L/Horse and is correct . I have attached correct patch for the 6th L/Horse on the left, hope this helps. If go the Australian War Memorial site you will find more info.

The two figures have the same patch on the Left Arm, but the Right Arm looks different

Does the Left and Right Arms have different patches?

Also, some L/Horseman have collar badges and some don't... any historical references?

The difference in the 2 figures has come about due to there being a right and a left side colour patch for all Lighthorse Regiments.

The Australian Lighthorse Asscoiation website quotes: They are worn so that the Brigade colour is to the lower front edge. The above illustrations are for patches worn on the left shoulder.
http://www.lighthorse.org.au/ and goto Manual for dress the 4. Colour Patches for all the Regiments

So with the particular regiment you are depicting, 4 LH, your 1/6th and the standard K&C figues are corect, while the Collectors Club figure has his patches on the wrong arms.

I hope this helps,

John

Ober,
You are right. The arm patch can be confusing.
The minor error on the first figure was spotted and changed for the AL series.
Regards
Brett
