Hi, this is probably only relevant to Australian members.

I've noticed that the Aldi stores have some excellent display cabinets for their camera and computer products. I'd love to get one. Does anyone know where Aldi source these? I rang the head office but they wouldn't help me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Larso,
I also saw them in a flyer and they do look very good.

At $99 they look like very good value and I dont think they will have them for long. .

No surprise their head office would not tell you where they source them from. Even if you could find out I doubt
you could get a better price than $99. If they are not made in Brisbane (could be made by the guys whose details I gave you before) you would have to factor in shipping.

Dont wait on these.

Brett

When we get ALDI stores might be able to help..............................:rolleyes2:

Bugger Aldi, good things come to those that search and have patience, got these locally on e-bay for one dollar.^&cool

You must love driving those buses - you even took the photograph while seated in a leather chair.

Thanks Brett but which are the $99 ones? THe ones I'm thinking off are almost as big as those up the back of your shop. They're also just glass around the frame. They are used for displays, so they're an item of store furniture. Each store only seems to have one and the sizes can vary. They are quite sturdy and lockable too.

Larso,
Not been to Aldi to look but going on a Aldi Smarter Shopping brochure that came in the mail box the other day. Might not be what you are talking about as only one cabinet in that brochure.

Page 11 $99.95
55mm tempered glass
Freestanding with 3 adjustable shelves and locking hinge door
Assembled Size: 40(L) x 40(W) x 160(H)cm
Includes locking key

Details at
https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/saturday-24-august-2013 which also shows other sales items including a $89 bar fridge.

The one you mention might be made by the guys off Nudgee Rd who made my ones.

"The one you mention might be made by the guys off Nudgee Rd who made my ones."

A clever way to do this might be to ring them and ask if they make the Aldi cabinets! A mission for tomorrow Larso.

The shop ones are identical to Aldi ones so they do make them for Aldi.

apart from the lock they look identical to the Ikea Detolf but at twice the price . Ikeas are £40 in the Uk ( not sure what they would be in Oz)
