To all of you KC authorized dealers, what does it take to become an official dealer? How much does it cost? Thinking of opening a toy soldier business one day, and just wanted some info.

Wow

Imagine ... your entire collection becomes tax deductable

I wonder if people have them in their office ... they would count as office fittings .

Hi Guys,

Re GJB22’s request for more info on becoming an official K&C dealer. It takes a lot of money… a lot of time… a whole lot of dedication and these days, a complete business plan on exactly how you will operate… where you will operate and who you plan to sell to.

K&C already has, especially in the US, a pretty good network of fine, hard-working dealers. It’s also our duty to protect them from casual speculators who want to buy a few sets for their own personal collection plus a few more to sell off to their friends at a nice trade discount. It is also true that these days K&C rejects a lot more potential dealer’s applications than we accept.

While I am not suggesting for a moment that GJB is just ‘tire kicking’ he and any others considering this should know that getting into any new business is not for the faint-hearted or anyone whose pockets are not moderately deep.

Not meaning to pour cold water on anyone’s ambitions but trying to provide some helpful information.

Happy Collecting!

True advice, not just in the toy soldier business, but for anyone who wants to start his own business.

To paraphrase Mr Miyagi from "The Karate Kid," "You start business yes, OK, start business no, also OK. You start business guess so--skchhh! just like grape"

Prosit!
Brad
