Following on from the first post here are some images of ASC vehicles and aircraft support.

First up is the Caproni 309 which were attached to ASC companies to provide air support, followed by ASP 37 which was an artillery tractor but like most desert vehicles could was used in a variety of roles and could be used to carry infantry and was sometimes mounted with a Breda 20 mm. The third and last images are of the AS42 which K and C made an excellent winter version. These were specifically designed for the desert and had flexible weaponry. The fourth image shows the Lancia Truck- this was popular with DAK who used it whenever they could. With good load carry capacity and a reliable engine..they were winners in the desert. The ASC were hampered by petrol supplies but were highly respected by the DAK

Thanks for showing these - they look really interesting and such a great variety. Maybe we can persuade Andy - K and C would do a great job with ASCs. Thanks for posting

Hi Guys,
I just returned this evening from meeting and reviewing some of the latest 'sculpts' by our Sculpting Team up in China...Among the many items I saw (and approved) were the first initial sculpts of our first 'Folgore' (Italian Paratroopers) in desert fighting mode...

I like them a lot and hope you will too! Once I get all of this first batch of 'Folgore' sculpted I will give you guys some pix to mull over.

Also saw and approved another 2x U. S. Cavalry in action....One white officer and one 'Buffalo Soldier' sergeant. Plus lots more!!!

All the best and happy collecting, Andy.

Hi Andy,

that's very good news! Shall we toast, finally? Andy always keeps his promises. I look forward to seeing some pictures of this first batch of "Folgore" sculpted... :smile2: Can you tell us anything about Mussolini's release from the prison at Gran Sasso ? :):I think everything's getting just a bit too much, isn't it?

So, on behalf of all of us (Italians and Others) , we just want to say thank you!!!

Cheers

Enrico

Hi Peter,
...And those will not be the only additions to the 'War in the Desert'! In coming months... Soldiers of both sides will be appearing including some that K&C have never done before fighting in North Africa.

Watch this space....All the best and happy collecting! Andy.
