My first purchase of First Legion figures (five AWI British 5th Regiment of Foot Grenadiers) arrived about 90 minutes ago. I have spent this time in total amazement on how exquisite in every aspect that these figures are. I have just one word to describe these - OMG!!! . . . er . . . I guess that's three words. I received AWI026 Company Officer, AWI027 Drummer, AWI028 NCO, AWI032 Private Marching, and AWI033 Private Marching w/Bandage Under Bearskin. I babble . . . I just can't say enough about these figures. Everything about them is just incredible, facial features, hands, poses, paint . . . everything. Tried calling Matt to let him know of my complete satisfaction . . . alas, had to leave a message instead. Matt, thank you. I am now hooked on the AWI range, will be ordering more in the near future. Photos to follow soon, must contiue to druel over these for awhile.

So I am get the impression you like them, right?

As you probably know Mike, I am in total agreement with you on these. It was a long wait since they were first previewed last summer, but as you can now see, it was totally worth it. Just last night I was looking at mine again and was still blown away by the precise paintwork on the uniform lace. Can't say enough good things about them.

I am excited to see where this range goes. Between the militia and the 5th Foot, First Legion has set a high bar indeed!

To say I like them is an understatement. I have hesitated a long time to make a purchase due to cost. But now that I have them in hand to inspect - WORTH EVERY PENNY. First class all the way from ease of ordering, shipment communication, timely delivery, figure packaging . . . . and on, and on . . . .
Here's a quick photo . . . had to see what they are going to look like . . . tonight I will be creating a story line with photos for tommorrow . . .

Mike, Glad to see you are enjoying your first sets of First Legion, I know the feeling!! you really have to see the figures in person to really get a good idea how nice they are, now you can buy some WWII guys and see how nice they are:smile2::smile2:...Sammy

Mike,

Glad to see you got them.... I thought you would love these figures. Thats just what FL does to you... They are worth the money you pay for them.

Mike, Congrats on your foray into FL, your photos of the Grenadiers is great, thanks for posting. Although I don’t personally collect this range, I can certainly appreciate it. I considered buying some FL figures for over a year, before I took the plunge just recently myself … glad I did though!!! Enjoy … Alby :smile2:

Just as Jackaroo it took me more than a year to get into FL, they are amazing figures indeed. Congrats, and thanks for the great photos, this range looks very special, but don't they all? Oh, choices, choices:rolleyes2:... I am going to wait and see what's coming up before I do anything foolish...^&grin

Cheers,
Paulo

I think the time between one of my 1st inquiry to Matt and the actual purchase was something like 2 years ... Took the plunge one year ago.. I'll never go back :)

Cheers,

Alex

The AWI British is definitely line of figures I hope to be collecting soon....Those British uniforms are colorful great detail especially the drummer....but I would prefer better camoflage if being shot at in battle:wink2:

I think the time between seeing First Legions Bavarian figures and buying First Legions Bavarian figures was about 15 seconds just long enough for Mr George to say they cost $34.95 . I could not believe one, that some one was actually making Napoleonic Bavarians and two, a figure made at this level was that cheap . Needless to say I too have not looked back . I still do treat myself to a commissioned kit figure and a few Connoisseur figures mostly Aeroart here and there but for the most part its been almost all First Legion for the last three + years .. IMO First Legion are by far the best value for money on the market today .
Mike ,
Your initial first shot is very very nice , and while reading your comments about your first First Legion experience it sounds like an echo of my first mail order purchase :wink2: Oh yeah your in trouble .. Welcome aboard .. Looking forward to your next batch of photo's ....Regards Gebhard

Congratulations to your first purchase, Mike. I think you made the right decision. :)

Let's have some photos, please, when you have the time.

And as I said before, as you are excellent in researching, please share with us some of your findings ....

All the best to you.
