Earlier this year I couldn't resist buying a good number of the recently released AWI Dragoons. FL makes some really good mounted figures and I was thrilled when Matt finally made some mounted figures for us AWI collectors.

As you can see, I set them up in a small display case on my bookshelves. This will no doubt be their permanent home.

RWB,
If you need to ENLARGE your Dragoon collection..I have MANY metal(I/R,LeMans,Britains and?)+
about 100 Tarleton's Legion (plastic) from Great Britain. 1st&3rdContinental Dragoons.some mounted militia(McCall's)
+ British 17th Lts.+some metal Tarleton's as well.
Tryin'to thin out the herd.

That's a great series of figures.
I love individual display cases like that too. More and more I am doing that with some of my figures

Nice display! Did you make these cases or did you buy them? If you bought them, may I ask from where? Thanks.

I myself get these from Michael's.They are actually football display cases.They are priced quite high but Michael's usually have them on sale.

Thanks Mark!

That is exactly right Mark. Thanks for answering that. I got mine at Michael's on sale.

These cases go a long way in helping to create more display possibilities.

Hobby Lobby also has these cases but I haven't seen them on sale there.

This is a great display, Mark. The only improvement, I can think of is doing a very thin diorama base into which the figure bases can be dropped and create an even surface, but which covers the whole floor of the display case. But I cannot come up with a name if a person who could do that. Didn't you have a woodworker in your family?

Simply Superb, Mark.
The First Legion AWI is a stunning series.

I wish :redface2: they were more compatible with other AWI manufacturers or maybe other manufacturers more compatible with First Legion {sm2}
I also have those "sports memorabilia cases" from Michael's and AC Moore ... they work very well for us TS guys!!

Mark, love the display and the case.

Thanks to Marco and you for mentioning where you purchased them. I've been looking for something like that.

Actually Brad, those stores have a rather large assortment of sizes and shapes. For example, they have some for baseballs, footballs, football helmets, baseball bats, and much more.

I saw a fantastic display of a long column of marching soldiers and wagons in a Baseball bat case. That one was about 40" long, 10" tall and 6"deep. Most come ready to mount on a wall or display on a table or cabinet.

Thanks Larry. My problem is I'm a one dimensional thinker. If I saw it used for one purpose like football, it would never occur to me that it could be used in another way. It's only when I see someone like Mark use it in a different way that a bell goes off in my head! {eek3}

If you have a processional, the bat display cases are fantastic. the short long shape adds to the feeling of a stretched out processional
