A handful of rebels defend some precious supplies and cannon from a small Redcoat force bursting from the forest (well when I get some more trees) :D

Hello Cornwallis,

Don't box in the three Americans at the cannon. "We" didn't do "last stands" unless surrounded. Put your "lights" in a more open order as in Howe's light infantry tactics. The Crown forces figured this out again from the French and Indian Wars very quickly in the War of Independence. Fusiliers, by Mark Urban is a great source of how the British adapted their tactics to fight in America.

This action must be outside of New England. The yearly "crop" of field stones we made into walls are more rounded. Is this New Jersy?

Your figures are superb! I've seen staining on old buildings exactly as you have painted them. This is a beautiful diorama.

Great figures and interesting set up. As to how they should be arranged, I think that is up to you. You are the director and this is your scene.:D

That is very well done, Cornwallis!! I like it a lot! You do excellent work and I hope you continue to post more pictures. You have given me some diorama ideas as I have many of the same figures you have in this picture.

Keep up the good work!

Mark

Excellent, I wish my displays looked as good. You may have told us earlier, but where did you buy the house? I really like it !

Very nice display Cornwallis, looks like alot of time and effort has gone into it. Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks - I used some kids sandpit sand, added some budgie grit for the stone look (cheap at £0.49p), sprinkled a little brown coloured scatter and then some small pieces of green lichen for weeds.

I am currently having a tile 5"x5" of cornstalks made (will need about 4 of these to do what I want on my diorama).

What I hate about my diorama is that I am using a sandpaper green roll for grass.

I want some good realistic looking grass, I think this lets it down at the moment.

The attachment looks good for the area I need to cover just need to source a seller in the UK (which is proving harder than you might think)!!

A mixture of foam turf and static grass can give some very realistic looking results. Ken Osen's technique for doing this is the way to do it. I am sure Ken would be happy to give you some tips on this technique.
