Anyone ever heard from:

Wraith (UK) Simon
Alexdakar (USA) Alex

Two gentlemen that I was very close with say 10 years ago that I haven't seen post in nearly a decade.

Scott

It does seem like a lot of the regulars have dropped out recently. I know Al (Lancer) has had health issues but also Brad (Jazzeum) who was here forever. There were some like Capitolron who vanished a long while back. I suppose life moves on. It does seem as you get older that a lot of folks disappear into the ether.

Who was the regular that purchased all the King and Country vehicles and had connections with the toy soldier company in Argentina?

That was Mike, UCLA1967. He's still around. I saw Wraith was logged in, not long ago.

Anyone remember "Pierre"? I think he ended up getting banned here. There was a Canadian toy solider forum that some folks went to if they got disgruntled. Mostly after arguing about KC stuff (e.g. scale, historical accuracy, the infamous Rammjager dust up etc.).

The last I heard of Pierre I believe was a post on Planet Figure a few years ago.The same with Harry.

Mates seem to come and go here including myself after almost a 2 year hiatus, and like many on the forum we timers have had some laughs, and our share of drama!! I miss Rob, Capital Ron, Harry, UK Reb, and many others that have moved on, I did reach out to Brad (Jazzeum) he's ok, but needed a break, hopefully he returns as does Al after his rehab,.... after 15 years on the forum here you come across some really nice fellas, hopefully some that left will return in time.

I was 12 when I joined the forum that was nearly 17 years ago in May.

It would be nice if those still with us made a comment just to let us know they're still in this crazy old world.

I remember John Gamble driving Andy nuts with his endless request list for Italian vehicles. They were written in very distinctive ransom note way. He could not be deterred. LOL. I believe that John passed away a while back.

After Harry the Heid went inactive here, we chatted occasionally via email, talking about the various projects we were working on for our respective collections. He's also on some other forums. He's a member of PlanetFigure, and occasionally shared posts on pieces he was working on, very well-designed and well-executed dioramas. He had a couple of articles in Toy Soldier & Model Figure, too.

He lives in the PRC, so given the last few years' events, he probably has other things on his mind, and I can see if he hasn't been active on the other forums.

Prost!
Brad

Let's not forget The Lieutenant,a very special member. He sure did love his Zulu War figures.
Mark

Who was the member that always responded that he did not have the figure that someone was looking for but that he had sold thousands of figures to who ever and they have it!

That's Hiriart, by the way, for the folks following along at home ;)

Prost!
Brad

A PS - I just noticed that I'm 60 posts away from my 10,000th post!

Hi Hiriat is not in Argentina but Uruguay...if you guys need the contact please let me know, I think I still have it.

Cheers

Yes we've certainly seen some 'characters' on this forum, and over the years I have seen them come and go, and sometimes re-appear...several times ha ha.

I joined in 2005 shortly after buying my first computer, it was a whole new world to me as I had never travelled overseas and hadn't had much communication with people from other countries and cultures. We seemed to have a lot more 'forum fights' back then, usually over some trivial matter or a misunderstanding. I guess being older now, we're more mature, or like to think so ^&grin

He did sadly.

Another late collector was Chuck Harris. A real gent.
