On the 16th of December 1944 there was a thick fog in the Ardennes region. The only Rollbahn the Germans were able to gain was Rollbahn "D" to the south of Rollbahn "C". The 1st SS Panzer Division under Obersturmbahnführer J.Peiper took RB"D" into the town of Honsfeld. There he turned to the North(because of heavy damaged roads) to the town of Büllingen to use Rollbahn "C". US troops spotted this move and began to dig in between the town of Büllingen and Bütgenbach. The battle for the town began.By December 22nd the battle for Bütgenbach was over. The "Big Red One" were able to repel the Germans; they defended the town for just over 2 weeks. Peiper disposed of 1 battery of "Grille " self propelled guns nl 6 in total. The diorama shows one of the 6 Grilles perparing to shell the US troops. Hope you like my dio

Excellent Guy. The trees look so real and I really like the vehicle. Great set of figures as well.

Guy did you touch the figures ??

Yes Wayne, have a look at their camo trousers ( they are wearing autumn camo)and also the ones with a white camo jacket I made them more dirty; and the one standing on the hill with the binoculars I turned the snow on his greatcoat into mud

Brilliant Guy, as usual your detail in the dio is second to none and I love the extra weathering you did to the Grille.

Hi Guy, Really nice weathering job on the Grille. Whole scene looks great ! What is the size of the Diorama itself ?
