DRAGON LADY 19.jpg018 (005).jpgDG20.jpg021 (005)1.jpg

Hello Guys hope you all enjoy pictures of 'Dragon Lady' which just flew into Gunn HQ this week! We will be advertising this new addition to our catalogue at some point this month.

Best wishes The Gunn Team

Nice looking plane although I'm not a fan of the lines, which seem pronounced.

What is the cost?

It took some guts to do the Flying Fort in wood at so large a scale. The shape of the aircraft is more or less tattooed in the mind's eye of warbird lovers, so it's not particularly easy to put anything over on us.;) Beyond that, the B-17 has a some fairly subtle and complex forms to it, particularly around the forward half of the fuselage. Then there are all those projections and window glazing to model. Sheesh! Hats off to TG for both the effort and the results.

While taking nothing away from TGM's fine looking B17...K&C has produced many other fine looking B17's for many years now.
Best wishes, Andy.

Indeed y'all have, Andy.:) Since you sell wooden models, you're as aware as anyone of how they've become increasingly sophisticated. For many years, I had one on my desk at work, with others scattered around my office. They were nice enough, but that was largely a function of the paint work. Nowadays, improvements like clear canopies and cockpit detail are getting cooked into the models, making them much better representations of the real deal. Everyone who reads this understands that you've incorporated that sort of thing into your excellent wooden warbirds.

Nice looking! What is the price point on this one?
Tom

Thanks Tom the price will be around $1200 plus if you factor in $200 postage to the USA it will total $1400. Not cheap I know but then its around half the price of other B-17's of the same standard available elsewhere - if you were to look!

Best wishes Vicki

Thank you for your kind words Moe, I believe we are now up to Warbird serial number 140 which means that despite being a very small company we have produced a large variety of aircraft in a very short period - a B24 Liberator is due out soon and a Hansa Brandenburg seaplane neither of which have been made by a mainstream manufacturer before in 1/30 scale, although I could be wrong and I am sure somebody will correct me if I am. We are hoping to have both on display in London space permitting as well as a few other surprises.

Best wishes Vicki

I will be looking forward to seeing them on Saturday at the Toy Soldier Show too,

John
