Just got back from my trip to Frankfurt. Highlight for me was right on landing at the airport . We taxied past a Junkers 52 with it's propellers going! I was well excited. I've only ever seen one in pictures before but what an amazing plane.

...and today i saw a Spitfire. There is one in Centenary square in Birmingham as part of Veteran's celebrations.
You can sit in the cockpit and press the guns and I guess make airplane noises too. :)
I'm hoping to go back to sit in tomorrow and drag my wife along so she can take a photo!

Chocks away chaps!

What a lovely plane,if only i had a million or two to spare:rolleyes:

I'm lucky. Where I work is right next door to the Rolls Royce testing facilities in Nottingham. There's a Spitfire that regularly messes around there. Comes right over our building and just bugs around for an hour of so at obscenely low levels. The sound is just awesome. I end up with neck ache from being stood there watching it.
