One of the most enjoyable aspects of collecting K&C is when Andy and his team are able to capture expression and mood through the faces of the figures. This morning I revisited some of my Tarawa collection admiring the action poses and facial expressions of K&C's USMC figures.

My modest attempt to create a little scene depicting casualties sustained by the USMC as they make their beachfront landing:

Notice the radioman's watch and torn pants around the knee. It's all about the details.

Always fantastic scenes. This is a great series. There are 3 sculpts missing from back numbers, so here's hoping we see them soon to add to your dio's . Robin.

Great scene Rob. Yes K&C does a nice job on capturing facial expressions that add realism to the figures.

This is a great photograph !!!! Fantastic backdrop
guy:smile2:

No truer words were spoken, Rob.

Superior sculpting and paint jobs. The faces are showing real emotion on these USMC guys.
This adds a lot of realism to the scenes and makes closeups like this one, others you have done as well as Steve (Horus) with the Vietnam series.

Really like the simple but packed setup here.

Howdy Robin,
Actually there are "7" missing in the USMC sequence, depending, of course, which batch you are referring to. :rolleyes2:

USMC017 / USMC019 / USMC021 / USMC035 / USMC037 / USMC0038 and USMC040

BUT YES ... :tongue: ... anticipating we will see these holes filled in and extended past the USMC050(SE)
So much can be added.

I hope that Andy touches on the Medical and Surgical areas similar to what he did with the WWII German with nurses, doctors, patients in cots / beds and so much more. Also, there is a totally untouched area that forum member Randy (Semper Fi) and I have mentioned with ... the SeaBees!!{sm3}

Thank you all for the very nice comments. I always appreciate your feedback and thoughts when it comes to these K&C pieces.
