Now this is a diorama on a grand scale! 1 PARA on the ropes before our eyes. Nicely done!

What I like is the scope to lash out and present such a dramatic scene. Excellent. Robin.

Thanks Robin, been cooking this one up for awhile, I'm happy with the way it came out, glad you are too..............

There were about 158 German AFV's in the Arnhem sector; Stugs, Mark III's, IV's, jagpanthers, Tiger I's, Tiger II's, Panthers, flakpanzers, halftracks, armored cars, etc, etc.

The Germans in the area were the 9th and10th SS, Panzer Ersatz Regiment Bielefeld, Schwere Panzer Kompanie Hummel, Schwere Panzer 506, Strumgeschutz Brigade 280 and Panzer Companie 244.

Imagine airborne troops going up against that.

My layout depicts the types of AFV's Germans in the Oosterbeek area would have thrown at the British airborne, also mostly Heer Infantry and not SS troops, again the 9th and 10th SS were in Arnhem, not Oosterbeek.

The buildings in this layout are the Oosterbeek gas works and Kate Der Horsts house.

Hello Warrior,
An extremely well researched, and accurately presented diorama. I'm certain that even COL Waddy would be duly impressed. As is still signaled in both the US and Royal Navies; "BZ" (Bravo Zulu), Well Done! Should be in the Hartenstein Museum. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much for the kind words; when ArnhemJim and Panda1gen give my display the thumbs up, I know I did a good job..............:wink2:

Wow again; Beautiful buildings and layout. It's nice to see the whole drama as it unfolds.
