Waiting for the next scamble .
great Battle of Britain scene
Guy:)

Excellent scene and photos, Russ!:salute:: I have two permanent displays dedicated to the courageous men of the RAF resting between scrambles, a matt scene with King & Country soldiers/scenics/aircraft/vehicles, and a custom made diorama of the airfield at Snetterton Heath (from which my Uncle Joe flew and was KIA on May 5, 1944) done in gloss finish by the great John Firth, with his scenics and custom painted figures/vehicles as well as Heco Tinplate Models, and CJB Models. My favorite part of both scenes is the RAF pilots sleeping in lawn chairs, or getting a cuppa and a bun from a mobile canteen, enjoying a few moments of sanity before the Nazis come again. As Churchill famously put it, never in the course of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few.

Indeed a fitting quote from Churchill. I love the links to family history. It keeps the memory alive. I am a late starter on the Battle of Britain series. Lot of great figures and buildings already retired.

regards
Russ

Nice collection, Rusty:salute::

Are you familiar with "The Cricket Club" hut?

Would make a nice addition to your BoB sets.

Yes Moe, I agree. I have had my eye on the building for a while.
