Most of my K&C RAF collection on display here. All figures/plane/vehicles are K&C. Hut from Frontline and observation shelter from JG Miniatures.

I'm always looking to add to my RAF collection and the two new planes look great. Might have to get one of them.

Really well done, and with backdrop, everything!:salute::

Duke:

Splendid photos with great backdrop and placement of figures, etc.

So many great little scenes it is hard to say which I like best ...:rolleyes2:

Okay, I guess the one where the pilot is putting on his head gear on the way to his plane.... reminds me of the scene from 633 Squadron ... a great movie and a great dio !!!!!

Great set-up Duke. I really like the British plane. Is that a Hurricane or Spitfire? I have a hard time telling the planes apart.

Thanks fellas for all the nice comments and likes.

WO that is a Hurricane MK I. The Hurricane was actually more numerous in the Battle of Britain than the Spitfire but maybe not as pretty and fast.... the workhorse.

Thanks mates, really appreciate it. In setting this scene up, I used several BAR grass and road mats to create an area that was 6' in length from front to back or to the backdrop. I was trying to get a feel of depth for the photographs.

Thanks for the info. One really learns a lot about WWII through these pieces.

WO, if you are not used to looking at them much, the Spit and Hurricane do look similar from the side, but their is no mistaking when looking from above where you can see the elliptical shaped wings of the glamorous Spitfire, one of the most beautiful fighter planes ever developed. The Hurricane was credited with more German planes shot down during the Battle of Britain because for one reason, there were more Hurricanes than Spits. Another reason is that a tactic used by the RAF was to send up Hurricanes and Spits together and let the Spits take on the escorting German fighters as the Spit was faster and more nimble. a better dogfighter, while the Hurricanes concentrated on taking out the bombers (easier targets).

Great scenes. The K&C RAF line is one of my favourites, I'm eager to see where it goes next?????? (fire truck, AA guns, more figures and planes) ^&cool
