I am currently working on a number of new pages for the TF Resources area. I am adding titles from the Osprey series to each topic page and today completed the Battle of the Bulge which is a popular subject with collectors. I will be adding links to relevant websites so if you have some favorite and reliable Bulge sites please pass them along either here or by PM. As far as books go I am limiting books to essentially the Osprey publications since otherwise the bibliography could go on forever. Let me know if I have missed any Osprey titles. Each one I have added should have relevance to the Bulge even if they are of a more general nature. The links to Osprey are to the main page since that is a more stable link than those for individual pages. Since WWII is such a huge topic I am breaking it down into subtopics like the Bulge, D-Day. Market Garden, North Africa, etc which are more manageable. I have tried to start with topics relevant to the toy soldier products that you are collecting. I shall keep you posted on my progress.

Perfect timing and one of my favorite WTO topics to read about. Thanks for your efforts.

2) Some books to add;
"Nuts, the Battle of the Bulge"
"Battle of the Bulge" by Danny Parker
"The Ardennes Campaign" by Hugh Cole (part of the US Army's official history of WW2

More to follow (hopefully)

Thanks for the Osprey additions. As I mentioned in my original post I am excluding all other books because the list would be just too long. I will supplement the Ospreys with a number of online sources. None of these Resource pages is meant to be exhaustive--just to provide the basics for a collector to get started. I am doing pages for wars from the Ancient World through modern times and that is a Herculean task to say the least.

The 2 Ospreys are now added. Hitler's last Gamble, an Osprey book was already there.

Good job!

On 5 jan 2009 General Kinnard died at age 93. He was the Guy who whisperd NUTS to General McAuliffe. At that time Kinnard was 29 year old lieutenant-colonel.

They have a nice museum and website. Poteau was near the spot where the well-photographed ambush took place. Elements of Kampgruppe Peiper attacked retreating elements of the 14th Cavalry group and 820 TD Battalion. These are the famous photos of SS men around burning US M8 armored cars, M3 halftracks and towed 3" AT guns.

Gary

Thank you so much for the links. I'll add them tomorrow.

Randy

Gary both museum sites have been added each with a small photo. I used your commentary for Poteau which was very good.

Feel free to send more links my way

Thanks,

Randy
