I wasn't exactly sure what an abattis would look like...for diorama purposes...and I'm sure it can be built in many different ways...but two things this video shows...is how effective it was and what an error in judgement was made when Capt. Abercrombie and Lt. Clerk said this defense could be so easily over run without the use of cannons...

Yes, it is available on DVD. This is a snippet of the PBS documentary - The War that Made America. Very easy to find on Amazon. Running time is "approximately 240 minutes." The Battle of the Monogahela sequence is equally good.
