With the end of golf season coming in CO, it's time to get back into my Bulge dio project-especially with all the new Bulge figs/vehicle coming out.
I want a stone bridge to be the centerpiece of the dio, but have totally failed to find one in our scale. I considered the Figarti/Nasta bridge, but was advised that putting two ends together wouldn't work very well. I'm now tracking a 'Burnside Bridge' on ebay, but have no idea if this would be appropriate.
Looks like a scratch build project coming up...unless someone has an idea they can toss me.
Thanks !

Mike...

Would be interesting following a scratch built bridge. You get it the way you want it when you build it yourself

Thanks Mitch, I think that's going to be the way I'll have to go-it'll take me a few tries, but it'll be fun to work on.

I have had the 2 ends of the figarti bridge together and it can be made to look ok. The was a centre section planned at one time but that probably won't get produced. I can do a photo for you later today showing you what it looks like and how AFVs fit on it or not.

I have what I think is a conte bridge in the loft quite large but, not sure if it is by them as I was given it without box etc. Thats a good bridge but, don't know if its what you want. I am up in the loft soon getting ready for thanksgiving and will get it down and take pics if it helps ideas flow.

Thanks Mitch, I believe that's one of the bridges I'd orginally targeted-but they "retired before I became inspired".

I have not seen this bridge before its very nice and the Tiger looks great on it
Mitch

Thanks much Terry, I had no idea a KT could cross that bridge. I reckon I could use some modeling putty etc...to fill in the gaps if I wanted.

Thanks Ecuriel, I'd seen the HB bridge, but it wasn't "pulling my trigger".

Also thanks Britframer and Arnhem44mad, I'm ll look at those options as well.

Appreciate everyone's guidance !

If it is a BOB bridge you need check the Verlinden productions catalogue I think ref 1589 is half a stone bridge that could be used in an Ardennes scenery.Put two of this halves together and you have a full and sturdy Ardennes stone bridge that can support any kind of AFV

Mike
I found a picture of the same bridge taken in the spring of 1945 right after the end of the BoB

Thanks very much Guy. Based on where you live, I've got to believe you've had a chance to travel the old battlefields from that era-a goal of mine someday. Just have to find my wife some good shopping while I'm out touring for history:D
