You were lucky, when I was a nipper the Australian Summers were so hot the bitumen used to melt and stick to your bare feet. Then Council would get you up at twelve o'clock at night and make you lick road clean wit' tongue.

And you try and tell the young people of today that ..... they won't believe you.

An' all the toads stuck t'et road....eeeee them were't days

There is a company 'Duck tours' i think they are called who do London tours on DUKW's.You start off by driving round some of the famous landmarks of London and then you plunge into the Thames!.Great fun,we did it a few years back and it was very enjoyable indeed.

Rob

They have the same thing in Philadelphia here in the U.S., but the DUKW's are painted pink!

There is a similar set up over here in Philadelphia, PA.

When I was in Honolulu a couple of years ago, one of the tour buses that I'd see going around downtown was a DUKW. I think it was around the time the K & C version came out so my son and I thought it was pretty neat.

They are a wonderful vehicle aren't they.I'm hoping the K&C version is not retired in Sept as i havn't got it as yet.
