Rose: USC v. Penn St.
As an alum my pick is SC!

Orange: Virginia Tech v. Cincinnati
Need strong drink to watch this. Yawn: Va. Tech

Sugar: Utah v. Alabama
Upset alert - Utah

Fiesta: Texas v. Ohio St.
I wish both teams could lose - but going with Texas

BCS Championship: Florida v. Oklahoma
Florida wins big.

*USC Trojans in the seventh+ coming of the apocalypse over the Nittany Kittens

*I am going with CinciTUCKY over VA. Tech

*Utah over the Tide-I concur

*Horns over the Little Ten Nuts from Columbus-I concur

*Gators win this one as the Sooner wagon topples (USC should be here)!

We need a playoff system just like EVERY other collegiate sport!

Hey all -- I'm not a big college football expert, but hey, Utah over the Tide? Come on, they play big boy football in the SEC. This will be no contest. -- lancer

My BIG PICK:

OKLAHOMA !

OKLAHOMA DEFENSE CREATES 5 TURNOVERS !

OKLAHOMA KNOCKS OUT TEBOW - STATUS UNCERTAIN FOR HIS FUTURE NFL CAREER !

OKLAHOMA SURPRIZES CRITICS WITH HIGH POWER OFFENSE !

- Just a few headlines to be in the sports page the next morning -

LOL LOL LOL LOL ..... :p ;) :) :D

A FSU FAN CAN DREAM RIGHT ?

Penn State. I don't care about any other of the games.

And they should all be on New Year's Day. Anyone remember waking up on New Year's and just staying in your pajamas and bathrobe all day, watching the bowls? Now, it's easy to lose interest, a couple of days after the 1st.

Prost!

Gotta agree with you Baron. I miss the blitz of games. Now I can't keep track of what games are when. Needless to say, it is a lot easier to take off time for one day of ball than trying to make time on 8 or 9 different days. -- lancer

The PAC 10 is now 4-0 in the bowl games after a terrible season. That's why college football is great. Go SC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ACC has had some mixed results this Bowl Season - although I am glad Clemson lost ! - especially how they treated Coach Tommy Bowden.

Outstanding, couldn't agree more Ron; see, you and I can agree on some things in life....:D

We'll see how Florida does vs Oklahoma, they of the 61+ points in each of their last 5 games.

This ain't OSU Florida will be facing come the 8th...............

5 for 5 for the PAC-10, there, congratulations to all you USC alumni and fans!

What a disappointing game for us Penn State fans! They really hurt themselves with some bonehead penalties, especially with illegal procedures (eg, setting up in the neutral zone, going in motion before everyone had set), some of which erased gains (like a fumble recovery deep in Trojan territory, or a 46 yard reception) that might have given PSU two more touchdowns in the first half. That's not to say that Sanchez wasn't brilliant, or that USC shouldn't have won. More to apply the lesson Frederick learned at Kunersdorf-you can't afford to make mistakes in front of the enemy.

Well, now it's on to the NFL and the march to the Super Bowl. Here's hoping the same Eagles team that showed up against Dallas last Sunday is the one that shows up for Minnesota this Sunday!

Prost!

Penn St. played hard until the end. A great football program. Just too much talent and speed on the other side of the ball. I have to say it was a little sad seeing Paterno sitting up in the box. The guy is in such bad shape he couldn't even go into the locker room at halftime. Painful to watch him walk. A lot of respect for him, but he should really consider retirement for his own sake and the team. The three-year extension was a sign of respect, but I hope he knows better and calls it quits.

Pac-10 5-0?? While it may sound impressive, other than USC's win, who did they beat? The top teams of the Pac-10 beat the mid-tier teams of other conferences. Not as great at it first appears.

They beat four top twenty teams and Miami(FL): #16 BYU, #20 Pitt, #8 Penn. St. and # 13 Oklahoma St.

Only two of the five PAC 10 teams were ranked and of those only SC was ranked higher than its opponent.

Should be Texas vs USC instead of Florida vs Oklahoma. Florida should boom the Sooners.

Yikes, I was sure wrong about the Sugar Bowl. Congratulations to you Utah supporters and to their undefeated team. They rolled (HO-HO) over the Tide and played big boy football as well as anyone. My apologies. -- lancer

Taking nothting away from the Utes, 21-zip is hard to overcome, as is the month long layoff between the end of the season and the bowl games on New Years day, every year there seems to be a team that comes out half asleep in one of the bowl games as a result of the layoff. Also, suspending your best O Lineman for the game and moving three others around due to injuries does not help either.

Again, the Utes played a great game, taking nothing away from them. They are undefeated, the only major college team to be so, yet have no shot at the national championship, really don't get that one either.

The NCAA is a real FUBAR when it comes to football.

There has never been a better reason for a playoff than the fact that the one undefeated team, who just beat the team ranked number one until they lost their last game to Florida by a smaller margin, has no shot at the national championship. Not to mention the fact that Texas beat the other team headed for the "championship" game on a neutral field, and USC, another one loss team, who dominated the number 8 ranked Penn State team in the Rose Bowl is also out of the picture. And if I hear one more idiot BCS supporter tell me about how special the regular season is, and how every game is a playoff, I am going to puke. If every game is a playoff, how come the one undefeated team isn't playing for the championship? And why are several one loss teams not in consideration? Obviously the regular season is only special for the BCS conference teams who have high pre-season rankings. For the other 100 or so teams, there is no possibility of winning a title under this BS system (and the C was left out deliberately).

Texas looked ugly winning last night. Hopefully USC jumps them in the polls. The Big 12 has been exposed in the bowl games: losses by OK. St. and Texas Tech. Missouri and Texas were not impressive. Makes me believe Oklahoma may not be as good as they appeared this season. Sticking with a big win prediction for Florida. FLA 40 OK 24.

Hey, my Jayhawks held up their end of the bargain as the 7th team out of the Big 12 - 42-21 over UM!

I was surprised by how the south teams have played thus far as I saw all of them (the bowl teams) play in person this year and thought were we all solid - not heads and soldiers above anyone else but definitely solid. The way Texas played surprised me most of all - I didn't see that coming. Missouri, well, they've struggled ever since losing to Oklahoma State and Daniel's INTs were up considerably at the end of the season as he started to press.

I'll keep pulling for the Sooners as a Big XII fan and expect it to be decided by a TD or less but you never know with "Big Game" Bob, lol.
