Hi all,

Anyone remember Rommel's Rod model kit. I know its not real vehicle, it was a marriage of a Mercedes car front and half track. Great looking model though that I would love to get in metal.

You mean this one.

If Andy builds it ,advertised as a fantasy vehicle.........I would buy one,Michael

Someone had a built one in a clear display case at the West Coaster. Brought back some memories & it was indeed funky!

I would not buy a pure fantasy vehicle, but something on the drawing board would be fair game. How about this baby?

The Army made 1 or 2 prototypes so I'm not sure it qualifies as a fantasy vehicle but it sure looked wicked:cool:. I'm talking about a giant dual tracked, I believe around 100 ton vehicle with two engines conceived as an assault vehicle to break thru the west wall/seigfried line. There used to be one on display at Fort Knox. I think it had a top speed of 3-5 MPH and was basicly a moving pillbox. If I remember correctly it had its dual tracks configuered as inner/outer pair, anyway it could tow the ramjager;).

Alex,
That's the one, I still love that look ,pretty wild.
